The WhiteText project aims to extract neuroanatomical information from the biomedical literature. We are specifically focused on the extraction of brain regions and connections between them.
Try out our new interactive web app named WhiteText Web for quick viewing of connectivity data in PubMed.
The project is split into four parts, each with a corresponding paper and supplement webpage:
- Recognition of brain region mentions in free text (2009)
- Normalization of brain region mentions to standardized lexicons (2012)
- Extraction of connectivity statements (2012)
- WhiteText: automated text mining for neuroanatomy (2014)
Interaction datasets are available.
New connectivity statement corpus is available
